"Hello, what a wonderful website! i feel like my head is going to explode from everything i've learned. i am a novice using a pentax k-1000. i would greatly appreciate any comments you may have in regards to the attachment. sorry about the scanning quality. thank you.". (Phong Le)

Dog
It would help to get a lot closer in, so that you get rid of the surrounding clutter, and show us the dog really clearly.

The same comments apply here, but even more so! The background is a real distraction. You'd have been better off taking the dog out of doors and using a more natural looking setting.

Little girl
I think this is an attractive and effective portrait, although it could perhaps have been better taken from a slightly lower angle - and the seat in the right background is a minor distraction even if it is deliberately out of focus. As always, the main question is whether or not it is improved by moving closer in, as on the right - but this depends on how important the setting is to you.

"Hi, I have purchased SLR Minolta Camera few weeks back. I had never used any camera before. I want to improve my photography hence would like to know your valuable comments on my photos which i have clicked in my last weeks Europe trip. Thanks a lot." (Mrs. Ratnamala Indulkar)

Child in snow
Parents in snow
These photos certainly make a very promising start, although I personally find the superimposed titles a little distracting. I particularly like the picture on the left, but think the one on the right would have been more interesting if we could have seen a bit of the mountain in the background rather than just the mass of white. Failing this, I'd have moved in a bit closer so that we could see the figures more clearly.

On river boat Closer view
Your photo (on the left) captures the scene very well, but there seems to be some unnecessary space around the edges, so again I'd move in closer, as on the right. Ideally, a bit of river is needed to separate the man's right arm from the boat behind him!

Girl looking at camera
The girl doesn't look entirely at ease in front of the camera. It might have been better to show her more in profile, looking at the flowers behind her, and perhaps reacting to them.
